How to play:
The object of the game of Chess is to capture the opponent's King. To capture the King you must place it in check. If the King cannot escape by itself, or with the help of its army, it is in checkmate and the King is captured. Working on an 8 x 8 grid, you have a range of pieces at your disposal - each of which has rules governing how they are able to move.
Controls for 72XX, 77XX, 75XX:
- SELECT - Space
- LEFT - D, H, A
- RIGHT - G, K, S
- UP - R, U
- DOWN - F, J, N, C
- FORCE MOVE - Q
- CONTEXT MENU - ENTER
Controls for 87XX, 71XX:
- SELECT - 0
- LEFT - 4
- RIGHT - 6
- UP - 2
- DOWN - 8
- FORCE MOVE - Q
- CONTEXT MENU - ENTER
Tips:
- Press Q to force the computer to make a move
- Press ENTER to save & load the game to play later
- With 71XX and 87XX BlackBerry you can switch the game to the background mode by pressing red hang up button. When the move is ready, the sound effect will announce it.
